To describe appropriate risk factor modification with antiplatelet
therapy in the vascular patient

• To establish treatment strategies to prevent ischaemic stroke in
patients who have already had a TIA or a stroke

• To describe the family physician/ER physician's role regarding
common and rare blood disorders

• To list the risk factors for venous thromboembolism in cancer patients

• To logically select investigations for suspected DVT and PE, and
interpret test findings

• Document the evidence supporting preventative strategies in patients
with antiphospholid antibodies
